Our Story
Art of the Hive began with two siblings, a love of bees, and a simple belief: honey should taste like where it came from.
What started as a family passion in 2020 is now a small NSW beekeeping company run by David and Diana Sayes. Our bees forage freely across the gardens of Sydney and our 200-acre farm in Mudgee, and they're never fed sugar — so every jar is 100% raw, unprocessed, and full of the real flavour of the Australian bush, different with every harvest.
We make everything by hand, in small batches: our raw wildflower honey, our pure beeswax candles, our skincare. No shortcuts, no additives, nothing the bees didn't make themselves.
We do it this way because looking after our bees means looking after the land they depend on and all of us along with it.
It's slower, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
We're a small family pouring a lot of heart into every jar, thank you for being part of it.
